Watchロンゲ・アダは今からちょうど３年前の２００７年８月１日、リタンの競馬祭に集まった数１０００人のチベット人を前にこの演説を行った。演説は数分間に及んだという。
警官隊が押し寄せたのを見て、ロンゲ・アダは堂々と、群がる警官隊の中に逮捕されるために壇上から降りて行ったという。これを見ていた群衆はある者は泣き、ある者は賛同を示し、声を上げ、拍手を送ったという。 ロンゲ・アダはその後８年の刑を言い渡された。

壊滅的な地震が東チベットを襲う −助けてください
4月14日早朝、東チベット、カム地方のジェクンドで、マグニチュード6.9の地震とそれに続く余震が起きました。中国語ではジェクンドは青海省玉樹チベット族自治州に当たります。報道によれば、少なくとも600人以上の人々が亡くなり、1万人以上が負傷したと伝えられていますが、現地のチベット人の情報では死者は4000人に及ぶ可能性があるとのことです。 SFTはメンバー全員、この災害で家族を亡くした人々に心から哀悼の意を表します。私たちの思いと祈りは、ジェクンドとその周辺の人々と共にあります。私たちは引き続きSFTのFacebookとtwitterを通して最新情報をお伝えしていきます。
